Union Leadership Survey

Of the 134 "active" members in the USA:

61 of them have not registered a game since 2023 or earlier (46%).

16 of them have not registered a game in the DOR since 2020 or earlier (12%). 8 of these have not registered a game since before 2015.

Note that I am asking the following questions in an attempt to more fully understand the views and opinions of as many USA leaders as possible. There is absolutely nothing changing in the way we (either the USA or the Club) handle membership responsibilities. But I do think the conversation should begin somewhere as the numbers above reveal a potential problem on the horizon. But I say that viewing the situation from my own viewpoint and you may have different views which are contrary to mine. I would like to give you the chance to speak freely.

Does having non-gamers remain as members indefinitely have a negative impact on the Club and/or USA? Why or why not? What about the impact they may have on the army structure?

Currently, the ACWGC only requires "Mustering" to maintain Membership in the Club. Given the large number of infrequent, or non-gamers, should this policy be re-examined?

Would you be in favor of a minimum gaming requirement for people to maintain membership? Why or why not? If you do think so, how often should people be asked to game to maintain membership?

What should be done with the non-gamers? Do they need a separate corps or army? Should they be placed removed from the formal army structures and placed in Leave of Absence status? Speak freely.

What do you think accounts for the high number on inactive members in the Union armies and what do you think could be done to get them active again?
