The ACWGC created the Washington Medal of Merit in 2006 to honor those Members whose contributions to the Club exceed expectations and touch each Member of the Club in some way. These Medals are awarded to only those officers whose track record of service, selflessness, and commitment to the Club, make them the pillars upon which our Club stands.

NOTE: The name and design of this medal was changed in 2024 from Legion of Merit to the Washington Medal of Merit to avoid copying an actual US Military Medal.
